Make Your Face More Appealing Through Jaw Reshaping

The remodeling or reshaping of the jaw, can reduce the volume and remove the corners in the subsequent areas, so it is more rounded. Usually, Jaw Reshaping  is combined with chin feminization of achieving a harmonious balance between these two parts of the face. Patients over 40 years old may have loose skin around the jaw or chin after remodeling. This can be solved by a soft tissue lifting or a mini lifting. The assessment of the need to replace the soft tissues after mandibular remodeling should be done after a period of four to six months.

Chin augmentation is very popular, because it is an easy operation for the patient, and will give noticeable changes in the silhouette of the face. This type of surgery is usually performed by a maxillofacial surgeon, plastic surgeon or otolaryngologist.

The procedure
The remodeling procedure is done under general anesthesia.Incisions are made exclusively inside the mouth, therefore, no visible external scars will be there. The marked areas of the bone are remodeled with specific instruments to achieve a rounded contour. The wound is closed with sutures dissolution.
